Everything is energy. Energy is all around us. Energy flows through us as well as through plants, animals and the earth itself creating a worldwide energetic circuit. Anything that is conductive on this planet is interconnected and in balance with this direct current (DC) circuit.
Furthermore, every aspect of the human body is highly conductive, and is totally dependent on this DC energy, and must tap into this circuit for health and healing. This process is called earthing and grounding.
What is the difference between earthing and grounding?
Earthing is the practice of directly connecting our bodies to the earth physically. Examples include walking barefoot on the lawn, or swimming in the ocean, or resting on the ground, or gardening in the soil without gloves. Earthing is natural.
Grounding is the practice of indirectly connecting our bodies to the earth electronically via specialized mats, sheets, and shoes. Our feet contact the earth through the shoe. And our bodies contact the earth through the sheets and mats that plug into the grounding outlet in our homes. Grounding uses technology.
Our ancestors were much more in sync with nature and this energetic circuit than most of us today, and they naturally incorporated earthing and grounding into their lifestyle. For example, they wore leather shoes (grounding), and they often worked directly on the or with the ground (earthing). They were well-connected with the earth on a daily basis.
Today, we wear insulated shoes, and we work/sleep in insulated buildings, and we drive insulated vehicles. Many folks hardly spend any time outdoors and if they do, they are usually do not touch the earth. In other words, hardly anyone now is actually tapping into this energy source on a daily basis for an adequate amount of time. This lack of sufficient contact with the global electrical DC circuit is contributing to dys-ease because we are out-of-contact, out-of-sync, and out-of-balance with nature.
Furthermore, our modern earth has been filled with technology creating and using alternating current (AC) which is actually harmful to life that is ensnared in its field of electromagnetic radiation. Yes, technology is convenient, but we were never meant to be exposed to AC fields.
Let’s dive deeper into the mechanism of action with earthing and grounding.
As part of living, our bodies normally generate positively-charged free radicals which can accumulate within us resulting in inflammation and contributing to disease.
The earth is a reservoir of negative electrons.
During earthing and grounding, these negative electrons act as antioxidants and help to neutralize the positively-charged free radicals.
Thus, earthing and grounding are beneficial in the restoration of the balance between our positively-charged free radicals and the earth’s supply of negative electrons. When these charges are balanced, health and healing are more likely to occur.
In fact, numerous studies show many benefits to earthing and grounding.
For example, this article confirms that "grounding appears to
These are all wonderful things!
And this article shows that “being conductively connected to the earth deepens restorative sleep, normalizes cortisol, helps to relax muscles, and boosts mood.”
And even more wonderful things!

So, how do you choose whether to earth or to ground?
Well, you do not have to choose one or the other. You can choose both! And you can incorporate them into your life every chance that you get.
Here are some practical and easy ideas for both earthing and grounding. Can you figure out which is earthing and which is grounding?
Even though Dr. Bazylewicz knew about earthing and grounding for quite a long time, she never got around to trying it out. But finally she did!
And shes started with these grounding fitted sheets, pillow cases, and mat from Earthing Harmony. Right away, she noticed significantly improved sleep, less pain, and less inflammation. It seemed as if inflammation and pain just melted away as she also experienced deeper and more restorative sleep. And now she is a total believer! Grounding shoes are next on her list.
You may be wondering how to use your grounding sheets, pillow cases and mat, right?
Before you begin, it is best to check the configuration with a simple outlet checker that you can get from a hardware store to make sure that they were installed correctly. Actually, it is a good idea to check ALL of your outlets in your entire home while you are at it.
No AC house electricity flows through these grounding technologies. Instead, a connection cord is snapped onto these items and then a small plug is inserted into the grounding hole in a house outlet. Super simple!
Grounding technology is NOT recommended if you have any internal
electrical devices such as a defibrillator. If in doubt, check with
your doctor.
No matter whether you choose earthing or grounding, you can experience the health benefits of the negative electrons of the earth.
The earth provides for us in so many ways including food, water, air, and more. And it provides for us energetically, too, but only if we intentionally connect to it on a regular daily basis.

be thy medicine,
and medicine
be thy food.

The secret of health
