Chronic pain is no fun! It wears on you and wears you out. You just want it gone.
You may have tried various over-the-counter medication and/or prescription pain pills with minimal relief. Same for various physical modalities, such as massage therapy, chiropractic care, and acupuncture. Detoxing is helpful, but not enough.
So, what can you do?
Try cupping!
Everything is energy - you, me, plants, animals, and even inanimate objects. This energy is called qi or chi by the Chinese. Ideally, qi should flow throughout our bodies resulting in health. But sometimes poor energy flow results in stagnated blood and lymph fluid. Oxygen and nutrition are prevented from reaching the cells and toxins accumulate in the cells; pain and disease result from this stagnation.
“Where there is stagnation, there will be pain.
Remove the stagnation, and you will remove the pain.”
~Ancient Chinese Maxim
But this stagnation can be
eliminated through the application of suctioning cups on your skin.
Simply, the vacuum lifts the skin and separates the tissues which creates space
of negative pressure for the bodily fluids and toxins to move and drain away. Simultaneously,
the increased blood flow allows oxygen and nutrition to replenish the
cells. Thus, energy flow is re-established, and pain and disease are eliminated.
The negative pressure can even sedate the nervous system to turn off the pain response and even other abnormal functions, such as high blood pressure, insomnia. It feels like flipping a switch.
The
vacuum is usually accomplished with manual cups with various degrees of suction.
Generally, you may feel a bit of skin pulling or pinching which dissipates over time as the congestion is alleviated by the negative pressure. You may notice red round marks on the skin that will gradually fade. And you may notice a bit of post-treatment soreness and fatigue as the tissues improve.
Cupping should not be performed if you are using blood thinners or have a bleeding disorder.
Dr. Bazylewicz has noticed considerable improvement in decreased pain,
increased range of motion, and increase flexibility with her cupping appointments with Drin Mehmedi, LMT at 203-768-5122 and at 35 Cold Spring Road, Building 100, Suite 124 in Rocky Hill, CT. He welcomes new patients!
Cupping can be used with massage therapy, chiropractic care, acupuncture, or
Reiki. And it is more effective with a comprehensive detoxification program including lymphatic drainage.

The secret of health
for both mind and body
is not to mourn for the past,
worry about the future,
or anticipate troubles,
but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.
